Steamroller exists to breathe life into stories, characters, and experiences in visual, physical, and virtual spaces. Each project that comes our way, be it a game, a film, or a theme park ride, exists in its own universe. It is our job to bring this multiverse to life. Our animators build believable characters and whole worlds in a multitude of universes, while our developers manipulate the rules of perception to transport you to a new definition of reality. We relish the opportunity to bring our clients’ universes to life while also developing our own stories.

Re: Job Shadowing
As someone with an extensive background in the entertainment industry, I have actively been searching to bridge the gap between my video background and move into game development. This has lead me to the discovery of Steamroller Studios and what I feel is a perfect opportunity to do so with the Job Shadowing position. Previously I have had the opportunity to work with high end video companies such as ESPN, Michigan Sports Television, and even as a production assistant on Transformers 3. Those experiences have proven to me that my passion lies in entertainment, however, I have recently discovered that gaming is where my true passion lies. As a gamer myself since the original Super Mario Brothers, I would love to be able to bring the emotions that I feel when immersed in a game to gamers in the future.

During my Professional and Collegiate experiences I have worked in Production extensively. My projects range from working on ESPN’s World Series of Poker, the NBA Draft, ABC’s Saturday Night Football, and most recently continuing to be a member of MSTV team shooting live sporting events in house for the University of Michigan. Those jobs have helped me sharpen my skills of working in busy creative environments. I take pride in making a positive impact in my surroundings, setting and achieving a high level of goals and I believe that Steamroller Studios presents a great opportunity to do so. Having been exposed to multiple levels of Production has given me a well rounded background of experience where I have achieved a high level of success and the following:

Achieved a high level of quality in shooting live action collegiate sports
Demonstrated the ability to learn quickly and adapt in fast paced environments
Edited content for use on television and websites
Assisted in the development of graphics packages for on air use
Displayed the ability to be versatile and fill many roles necessary for production
Maintained positive working relationships with co-workers

I currently spend my time playing FPS games, RPG games, and sports games both on console and PC. My past experiences have helped me build a positive reputation of a hard worker and fast learner who’s eager to positively contribute. My ability to adapt myself as a person and a professional would be a positive resource in a team environment. While my background does not fall in the game development industry, you would be getting someone who is willing to work as hard as possible and do whatever it takes to forge a successful path in Game Development. I would LOVE the opportunity to get to work with your studio as a job shadow with the goal of growing and moving into a position full time. Steamroller Studios is unique in offering this kind of position and as someone who wants to change directions in their career path, I couldn’t have found a better opportunity.

I greatly appreciate your time, should you have any further questions please contact me.
