Steamroller exists to breathe life into stories, characters, and experiences in visual, physical, and virtual spaces. Each project that comes our way, be it a game, a film, or a theme park ride, exists in its own universe. It is our job to bring this multiverse to life. Our animators build believable characters and whole worlds in a multitude of universes, while our developers manipulate the rules of perception to transport you to a new definition of reality. We relish the opportunity to bring our clients’ universes to life while also developing our own stories.

Vindicators, Winter Park, FL – UI Designer/Reward System Designer/ Level Designer

Created UI elements and functionality for the in-game pause menu, an objective system for player subsidiary-goals and the various enemy-types to challenge the player’s skill.
Created 16 levels for Vindicators, 2 of which made it into the final build for the game.
Developed Vindicators while using Agile/Scrum workflow to maintain an efficient and consistent pipeline.
Helped coordinate efforts and designate task from the art and audio team members when improving player PFI and visual design of Vindicators.
Concept-ed 2-15 new assets for enemies, player mechanics and levels per week for the 4-month development cycle of Vindicators.
October 1st, 2017 – October 22nd, 2017

Prototype: Donkey Kong, Winter Park, FL – Team Lead/Reward System Designer

Recreated the original 1981 Donkey Kong, designed by Shigeru Miyamoto.
Created the UI elements and visuals to allow the player to see necessary information that is reminiscent if not identical to the classic title.
Combined elements of the Final Fantasy series into Donkey Kong’s iconic game-play. Adding in a level up system and an array of abilities gained from leveling.
August 1st, 2017 – August 22nd, 2017

Concatenation: Reckoning, Winter Park, FL – Lead Designer/Lead Programmer

Concept-ed basic game play mechanics and goals.
Organized multiple play-test to analyze player feedback, locate and fix issues and develop solutions.
Wrote technical documentation to convey game mechanics, risk, and target audience.
Created functionality for player movement and UI elements for the score, main menu and win/lose conditions.
